Cast of characters on WTWG AM 1050 Gospel Radio station in Columbus, Mississippi.

Ms. Turner: wife of owner, Mississippi state legislator Bennie Turner. Listed by the FCC as EDNA W. TURNER, treasurer, secretary, director of T&W Communications, Inc.  (always at the station, in the background, often referred to by the on-air speaker) Not very vocal, opinions and beliefs only revealed when quoted by on-air speakers.

Pastor Johnson: sticks to most Biblical teachings, but is profoundly cynical of Caucasians, although, has been heard to repeat racial and ethnic stereotypes of other races (agrees with most of Mr. Nelson's stereotype views and opinions on every race that is not African-American).

Pastor Story; Came to Columbus after Hurricane Katrina. Shares Pastor Johnson's distaste for other racial and ethic groups, agrees with and repeats stereotypes and views of callers such as Mr. Nelson. Has openly supported the "right" of countries Iran and North Korea to develop and possess nuclear weapons. Is a virulent anti-Semite, idolizes and agrees with most, if not all, of Louis Farrakhan's and Reverend Jeremiah Wright's teachings and speeches. Makes repeated false and misleading claims on his show 'The Real Story' (such as one where he claims no rich 'white folks' have ever gone to jail for white collar crime, "Not a single one" he says, ignoring the publicity heaped on prison sentences of corporate executives including Bernie Ebbers- the former CEO of a huge global company based in Mississippi , who is currently serving a 25-year prison term at Oakdale Federal Correctional Complex in Pastor Story's former home state of Louisiana.)

Mr. Nelson; claims to be a retired educator, and says he has a degree in social studies, but has made many erroneous statements regarding historical facts, such as "no race of people has ever left a country because of religious persecution". Is obsessed with the concept and ideology of what he refers to as European-Americans, the fore parents of slave owners in America. To this day, Mr. Nelson has never once distinguished between the descendants of "slave owners" in this country at the time between colonialism and the Civil War, and American citizens whose ancestors arrived in this country through immigration stations such as Ellis Island (1855–1890). The American Civil War years were 1861–1865. Ellis Island was one of 30 immigration stations through which immigrants were processed into this country. The ancestors of 100 million American citizens came through Ellis Island alone. In short, Mr. Nelson is a purveyor of much misinformation and false information.

JD: Like Mr. Nelson, is almost always critical of other races and ethnic groups. Makes outlandish statements that even Pastor Story and Pastor Johnson can't agree with, but only when it involves a religious topic.

Glenda: Has moved out of the area, but occasionally appears on the station. Is more subdued on race issues than Lloyd, either of the pastors or the rest of the station's on-air speakers, but nonetheless, is known to harbor serious stereotypical views of other races and ethnic groups. Has been known to repeat false racial and ethnic stereotypes on the air.

Lloyd: a long time station on-air speaker. Is virulently prejudiced on anything dealing with other races and ethnic groups who are not African-American. Is known for making contradictory statements in the same broadcast and often contradicts himself from day to day, week to week, depending on the topic at hand and the person he is speaking to at the time.

Joe Johnson: Assistant Columbus city police chief. Currently has an on-going lawsuit against the taxpayers of the city of Columbus for discrimination, based on his not being given the position of permanent police chief. This is just one of many legal lawsuits Joe Johnson has filed against the taxpayers of the city. Assistant chief Johnson lost the last previous lawsuit and lost the appeal of that decision. While former Columbus city police chief, JD Sanders was repeatedly criticized and threatened by the former city council (including former ward one councilman Robert smith, who is now the mayor of the city) for posting to the ColumbusTalks.com online web discussion forum, Assistant Chief Johnson has never been rebuked for his call-ins to the radio station, even when the topic of the day is almost always an issue of racial and much false stereotypical ranting of callers and on-air speakers.

Leroy Brooks: Current and longtime Lowndes County supervisor. Is well known for publicly threatening other public officials, citizens and press reporters, both legally and physically (has made as if to slap some people in public meetings, picked up a chair and threatened to hit a fellow county supervisor, has manhandled smaller people in the rooms and hallways of the county court  house), although has never been arrested or prosecuted for the physical threats. Is also well known for his "plantation rants", complete with sing-song Ebonics and racist speech, when dealing with persons of other races and ethnic groups.

Kabir Karriem: Current city councilman from ward 5, a seat previously held by (as Mr. Nelson refers to them) a person of European descent. Has a daily talk show on the station called "Karriem and Company", and favorite sayings are 'keeping it real' and signature signoff tag line of 'start from where you are, work with what you got and I promise you, God will take care of the rest.' Is said to own a business called "Helen's Kitchen" and little else is known about his prior employment history. Brother of former ward 5 city councilman Kamal Karriem, who co-hosts the talk show and lost the seat to Jay Jordan, the person of European descent, who in turn, lost the seat to councilman Kabir. One of the most ourageous claims heard on the show, which councilman Karriem agreed with, was one made by Mr. Nelson that the predominately white private schools have hired the good white teachers away from the public school system, leaving the poor black teachers. "Not poor money wise, but poor teaching skills" according to Mr. Nelson.

Kamal Karriem: Brother of current ward 5 city councilman Kabir Karriem, former ward 5 city councilman himself, losing the seat to Jay Jordan who, in turn, lost the seat to Kabir Karriem. Is said, and claims to be, a member of the clergy, a reverend. Several news links about the former councilman's term on, and after, the city council can be found here. (and here, here, here)

When asked about whether the radio station has Hispanic, Asian, American Indian or Caucasian employees, the answer was "no".
